Like them so far. They are light and fit nice. The material and construct seem good. Winter just hit today here so I have reserved a star for durability.
How can they not be a 5-star product?Nevermind the title. I rec'd my Neos yesterday and although the snow is gone here in Langford, I went down to the creek and walked around in the yard pulling salal, tieing bamboo and appreciating my new purchase. My feet were warm and dry and my hiking boots were not dirty in the least. What a product. I had purchased some in Kingston, On since they were the rage but unfortunately they were the wrong size. No problem selling them however I didn't have any while on field training- that sucked! So for me to get them now and so quickly (2 days?) is another blessing! Thanks! ps, I should have bought another pair since I know you will be sold out after people hear about NEOS Weatherbeater Overshoes
Great, just need small design tweakThis is an excellent product that does exactly what it's designed to do, and the customer service is prompt, helpful, and friendly. My only qualm is with the velcro on the cross-strap. The strap is quite long, but the majority of it is only made of (non-velcro) fabric. If wearing smaller shoes inside the overshoes, you need to tighten the strap more so they're not too lose, but the design of the velcro strap only allows you to tighten it so much (ie. the male part of the velcro overshoots the female part, so there's nothing to bind it on either side). If the velcro extended the full length of the strap instead of just at the top and bottom, it would solve this issue. I have purchased industrial-quality velcro and glued it onto the strap myself (with an additional 'female' patch of velcro near the exterior heel of the overshoe itself, to gather remaining slack on the strap when it's fastened tightly), and it solved this issue perfectly. All in all, this is a very minor design issue that only affects the product when wearing very small/light shoes that leave extra room inside the overshoe. If wearing boots or other bulky footwear, this is not an issue. I presume using insoles inside would also help ameliorate this issue and have not tried that yet, but the extra velcro is a simpler fix as it doesn't require me to change insoles with the varying footwear I use inside the product. I'd recommend extending the velcro on the strap in future models.
